Firefighters Nab Burgular
On September 25th around 02:30hrs, some members of the Jewett City Fire Department just happened to be driving by the station and noticed something a little strange. It appeared someone was walking around inside the station and no cars were in the parking lot. The members proceeded into the station and found someone dressed in full army fatigues with rubber gloves on hiding under the Rescue truck. With some quick actions by members the subject was restrained on the apparatus floor until Chief officers and the CSP arrived. Members and CSP later found equipment that was in the process of being removed from the station and fire / EMS equipment totaling about $4,000 at the subject house just up the street. Thanks to the quick actions and watchful eye of these members we were able to catch this perpetrator in the act. Good Job guys.
