Lisbon firefighters contained this vehicle fire on Route 12 just off the exit 84 off ramp Sunday afternoon. First due units arrived to find this vehicle well involved with all occupants accounted for. An engine from Jewett City was also added to the assignment.

05/10/09 East Lyme (Niantic)

EAST LYME- Firefighters from Niantic and Flanders were dispatched to a reported fire on the exterior of the building at Camp Rell off of Smith St. Sunday afternoon. Deputy Chief Barone (B-10) arrived to find a working fire on the A side of a single story u-shaped wood frame. Soon after arrival the fire self vented through the roof and crews made an aggressive interior attack keeping the fire contained to the original building. Mohegan Tribe was assigned for a FAST with Companies from Waterford and Old Lyme covering empty East Lyme stations. Firefighters remained on scene for approximately three hours knocking down hot spots and assisting the East Lyme FMO. No injuries were reported.
