Lisbon Fire responded to a vehicle fire in the area of 443 River Rd. on Saturday night. Units arrived to find a well involved fire with no exposures. Crews worked to have the fire knocked down in a short time.

03/26/09 New Arrival in Griswold
Griswold Ambulance Service recently took delivery of two Ford 350 conversion vans. Rescue 555 and 655 will replace two other ford series ambulances that are currently in service. Griswold Ambulance is a full time department operating out of one station providing EMS coverage for the Town of Griswold and Borough of Jewett City.

03/15/09 East Lyme (Flanders)
Firefighters from the Flanders Fire Department were alerted for a brush fire at the old driving range on Flanders Rd. Sunday afternoon. First in units had approximately a 100' x 200' fire taking over the field with other spot fires in the area. Chief Foley (B-2) established command and requested Niantic and Oswegatchie for additional brush equipment. Companies were able to contain the fire in about an hour with no firefighter injuries.
