Around 01:30 Niantic and Flanders Fire Departments were dispatched to this structure fire at 53 Crescent Ave. in the Black Point section of town. First reports were for a fire on the porch but when first due companies arrived they found a 2.5 story apartment house with active fire on the upper floors. Mohegan Tribe sent the FAST while other companies provided coverage. While this fire was raging another call came in for a structure fire about two miles away in the town of Waterford.
