10/30/08 Niantic

Around 01:30 Niantic and Flanders Fire Departments were dispatched to this structure fire at 53 Crescent Ave. in the Black Point section of town. First reports were for a fire on the porch but when first due companies arrived they found a 2.5 story apartment house with active fire on the upper floors. Mohegan Tribe sent the FAST while other companies provided coverage. While this fire was raging another call came in for a structure fire about two miles away in the town of Waterford. 10/22/08 Salem Burn House

Members of the Pfizer Fire Dept., Emergency Services and Fire Brigade participated in there annual live burn training at the Salem burn house located on Route 82. This was one of two burns Pfizer conducted at the house this month.

10/20/08 Griswold

Members of Griswold Fire and Ambulance responded to this one vehicle roll over on Interstate 395 in the area of Exit 85 Monday night. Station 55 and Griswold Ambulance arrived and found a one car on it's roof in the Northbound lane. One patient had self extricated prior to units arriving with no injuries. Companies remained on scene for a short time obtaining information and assisting the CSP.

10/18/08 Taftville

Yea I know, It's been awhile. Recently moved down to the shore line and finally settling in. A few pics that were sent to me from a two car MVA on Norwich Ave. with five patients transported, if I'm correct, in Taftville Saturday afternoon.
