01/23/09 Plainfield

On Friday afternoon around 13:00hrs firefighters from Plainfield, Moosup, Central Village, Oneco and the FAST from Atwood Hose were requested for this structure fire at 294 Lathrop Rd. in Plainfield. First in Officers found heavy smoke emitting from the rear of this A frame house with a two story attached addition. Soon after arrival, the home had self vented and crews were faced with heavy fire conditions. With the occupants accounted for companies went into defensive operations to darken down the blaze before making entry. Additional mutual aid was requested from Canterbury and Griswold along with coverage for empty stations. Despite efforts from firefighters, the home was a complete loss. No injuries were reported.

I didn't make this one. These pics were sent in from my brother. He's been covering up north for me. I'll see you on the shore.
