Firefighters from Willimantic responded to this structure fire at 138 Chapman St. around 13:30 today. First due Companies had active fire showing from this 3.5 story wood frame. Mutual aid was requested, adding all three Windham Departments along with Uconn and Mansfield. About a 1/2 hour into the incident Command ordered all units out of the building and to go into defensive operations. It took about two hours to bring this blaze under control with some Companies remaining on scene for overhaul.
